In acoustics, the prefix of a sound is an initial phase, the onset of a sound quite dissimilar to the ensuing lasting vibration.

Here, the piano projects in the foreground the material differences between the variables of this phenomenon. The form is the result of the transformations of the sound objects that constitute it.
Thus, the piece is crossed by a constant: the tensions between machine/organism that operate in the instrument/performer relationship, as well as in the diverse sound nature of its signs.
